Robin Guitars Launches Mat Mitchell Signature Machete
HOUSTON, TX — March 10, 2026 — (GUITARpr) — Robin Guitars announces the launch of the brand’s retro‑futuristic Machete guitar in a new artist collaboration with Puscifer guitarist and producer Mat Mitchell. The iconic model features a patented “stair‑step” body design, allowing the string plane to float off the player so nothing stands between the guitarist and powerful riffs.
“The best features of my favorite guitars, combined into one,” said Mat Mitchell, a longtime admirer of the Machete.
Built in Texas and made for the versatility required for modern performance, the Mat Mitchell Machete features a mahogany body, chunky maple neck, Luminlay side markers, tall narrow jumbo frets, and a non‑recessed Floyd Rose locking tremolo. Each signature guitar is adorned with an exclusive graphic designed by artist Daniel Martin Diaz.
“The Robin Machete is a space‑age design straight from Space City, a retro‑futuristic offset that remains comfortable even with the heaviest music styles,” said Jake Rynearson, Head of Manufacturing at The Electric Music Company, parent company of Robin Guitars.
Available in dual- or single-humbucker configurations, the guitar comes equipped with Mat Mitchell signature El Coyote pickups from Rio Grande Pickups — also handcrafted in Texas — providing high output while maintaining clear articulation.
