Slash Purple Python

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Magnatone Adds Purple Python Limited Edition in the Slash Collection

St. Louis, MO – January 22, 2025 – (GUITARpr) – Magnatone is proud to announce the latest release in the Slash Collection with a limited-edition cosmetic: Purple Python. This collaboration with Magnatone and Slash brings together the iconic sound of the Master Collection with a bold, signature style, hand-chosen by Slash.

Each amp in this lineup features an iridescent black and purple snakeskin cabinet covering, black matrix grill cloth, gold piping and hardware, and Slash’s signature “Skully” logo on a gold anodized faceplate. These models include a certificate of authenticity and other accessories.

Slash has chosen the Super Fifty-Nine M-80 2×12” combo, head, and 2×12” speaker cabinet loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers to be part of the Purple Python edition. He has been using these models on tour and on his recent solo albums.

Obeid Khan, Magnatone engineer, designed the Baby M-80 using his favorite NOS 6AQ5 power tube and is designed to be a no compromise and more affordable model in the Master Collection. Using them at home and in the studio, Slash has chosen to include the Baby M-80 1×10” Combo, Head, and 1×10” Speaker Cabinet in the Purple Python cosmetic.

Slash says, “The Baby M-80 is the most kick ass little combo I’ve ever played thru. It kinda scared me the 1st time I heard the finished product, it’s so in your face. But with gorgeous tone.”

Slash’s “Blackout” SL-100 & 4×12” speaker cabinet represent the pinnacle of power and gain from Magnatone’s lineup, and perfectly complement the new Purple Python collection.

Ted Kornblum, President & CEO says, “Our partnership with Slash is a relationship that I am proud of and we plan to evolve over the years ahead. Slash’s choice of the “Purple Python” cosmetic is a signature look that only he can represent at Magnatone.”

All Magnatone amps are made in the USA and the Slash Collection in Purple Python is available to pre-order now. Shipping begins mid-2025. To learn more or locate a dealer near you, visit https://magnatoneusa.com.
